The Zodiac’s Most Reliable?

As a fixed earth sign, the Taurus bull just might be. I’ve always had a hard time understanding Taurus friends, even though I have gotten along with a few very well. I’ve always had the feeling that they can get along with pretty much anybody, though, and maybe it rankled that I wasn’t special in that regard.

Working through this zenskin, I felt that I understood Taurus for the first time. Not in terms of my own feelings, but in terms of theirs. Go figure…

Taurus Keywords

Recognizing that I had a few personal sore spots towards Taurus, I used some generally considered common, positive attributes for the pattern:

  • focused

  • persistent

  • deliberate

  • laid back

  • realistic

  • calm

  • sensual

Taurus Colors

Greens and browns were an obvious choice for an earth sign’s colors, but Now Let’s Get Going helped me round that out with pink and black. As a visual artist, that really helped me understand the nuances of this sign, which is known to be rather sexual (pink) and stubborn (black). The official color suggestions from the experts:

DO’s

  • black

  • pink

  • forest green

  • brown

DON’T’s

  • red

  • purple

Surprising Discoveries

I initially had quite a wall up against Taurus, I learned. And it was really because of my own inability to recognize worth in something I saw as so opposite from me. Once I got into the flow with Taurus, I realized that we had some strong commonalities. The abundance of sensual energy I felt once I opened myself up to it was wonderful. The shapes I found were so full and round, blooming and juicy!

As a Spring sign would be, right? So, I guess working on this zenskin helped me understand how nonsensical mental blocks can be, and how insidious. Who knows where they initially began: in early childhood, in another life? It felt good to get them up and out, wherever they came from.
